Dolls of AFA14

Dolls (Especially those of 60cm in height, playfully referred to as musume (Daughters) by their loving parents) have made a prominent presence amongst the community attending past AFAs, especially during AFA12

While not as grand as the gathering in 2012, many musume did made their attendance to this year’s event as well…

Exit Tunes, in promoting their new Vocaloid, had a custom Mayu doll on display at their booth.

An eye-catching attraction at Culture Japan booth this year was the Smart Dolls. Two characters have been released thus far, Suenaga Mirai and Kizuna Yumeno.

A third, Shirasawa Chitose (AKA whitehairloli.jpg) is in the works and will début by early next year IIRC.

Volks, the makers of the widely spread and popular Dollfie Dream, had their virgin voyage to AFA this year.

Bringing along with them are a number of limited DDs from past events in Japan, of which all but a few were sold out during the course of three days.

Tama-chan also paid a visit to the booth and had a two-shot with Saber Alter. w

There was a gathering of doll owners near the booth on Day 2 too.

Many paid a visit with their little ones and had a chat with the General Manager of Volks USA, myself included.
