Console gaming surely is not for the economic conscious individuals such as myself…
Before I even got myself the PSVR last year, I have always wanting to get a VR kit for my PC. Unfortunately at that time, my PC is not capable of supporting such high end device, and the said VR kits available on the market are too expensive for my taste.
However, such a problem no longer exists as I’ve just upgraded my rig earlier this year complete with VR-ready GPU.
While you can technically hook up your PSVR to the PC, it doesn’t have native support, so instead you’ll have to rely heavily on third-party softwares and a lot of setup to get it working, which I tried, and ultimately gave up due to all the hassles.
Fast forward 3rd Moon of this year, Oculus announced the successor to their popular VR Headset, the Oculus Rift. Aptly named the Oculus Rift S, this new unit have just begun its shipping around the world since last week.
Oculus is pretty much the leader of the VR scene, so this latest entry to the market obviously piques my interest…
Virtual Experience with a Grand Order
Virtual Reality, more commonly abbreviated as VR, have come a long way since its first conception during the end of the 20th century.
Gaining the much-needed push in the last few years via the rise of the likes of Oculus Rift, HTC Vive as well as Sony PSVR, the programmes and applications catered towards them are still pretty much at their infancy at best unfortunately.
Nevertheless, we do get to experience some incredible stuff using these Head Mount Displays, at a much more affordable price when compared to what they offered back in the last millennium.
Celebrating the success of their Android/iOS smart phone RPG game Fate/Grand Order, the company announced the making of a VR experience of the game itself back in the middle of the year, featuring the main character of the game itself, Mash Kyrielight, your in-game lovely kouhai.
After a few public testing at various venues around Japan within the months, Fate/Grand Order VR Feat. Mash Kyrielight has finally been released onto PlayStation Network a few days back as a free download for those with a JP PSN account.
