Celebrating a Phantastic Valentine’s

It’s been a trio of years since I’ve started my immersive play on the MMORPG Phantasy Star Online 2.

I’m surprised I’m still in this game, logging in religiously, daily… despite my usual insistent solo/single play tendencies in my gaming habits, rejecting many online games all this while.

Anyway since the regular update from latter half of last month, the game lobby has been filled with giant bears, hearts and frilly decorations in celebration of Saint Valentine’s Day.

Enhancing an Online Phantasy

Ever since the introduction of my Phantastic new rig, many fellow ARKS have wondered how did I managed to turn the graphics option on Phantasy Star Online 2 up to the eleven, seemingly amazed at the sheer visual porn that is  the various screenshots posted in the subsequent look-back at the previous year I’ve spent within the free-to-play virtual world… w

I’ve mentioned of the use of Ambient Occlusion, but I never did explained how I did it. So for here we are now we’ll look at how to tackle and change some settings that made all these beautiful screenshots possible. :3c

Arrival of a New Phantastic System

Ever since Tamamo‘s introduction into my den a couple of years ago, she has served me with utmost dedication in my various needs.

However, being a timid little rori that she is, her abilities were rather limited, unable to handle the most resource heavy stuffs I’ve thrown at her, at least when compared to her retired almost-a-decade-old onee-chan.

My 2-year-old laptop can barely keep up with today’s constantly high-demanding games, so it’s time for me to adopt a new gaming station – a good desktop rig that can handle most if not all and may be able to hold on her own for the next half a decade at least…
