Although PAM has been cancelled/postponed to the coming year, it seems it has been replaced with a new event, with the venue shifted to Kuala Lumpur this time around…
Announced last weekend, the I Love Anisong Matsuri Malaysia 2019 will happen this June, and judging from the title itself, we can probably assume that it will be more focused upon concert this time around, although currently the officials are accepting applications for their Creator’s Hub corner. There will be exhibitions as well, I suppose…
Unfortunately, I can neither attend this event, nor can I C3AFA2019, due to a high probability I’ll catch a tour to Japan at the end of the year. It is an invitation from a close friend of mine for decades.
While still in the planning stage, I would like to preserve my funds for the big trip itself, as it’s been my raison d’être to finally visit the Land of the Rising Sun…
The officials, through their own social medium, dropped the dates for their annual ACG event(s) for the latter half of the year.
Aside from Comic Fiesta 2016 that will be held in the Putra World Trade Centre (Once again a change of venue from last years) on the 17th and 18th of December, the Penang based Comic Fiesta Mini will in turn be held on the 3rd and 4th of September.
You don’t expect me to come home from an ACG event empty-handed, do you? XDc
Unlike past trips, I didn’t put any of my monetary reserves for usage at all during my roaming of the halls. =w= Many of the figures and stuff I want I’ve already gotten them from prior events and/or online shopping, and most of the doujin stuffs are not to my flavour at all.
Except the Kancolle’s Kongou button badge. But they were sold out when I realised of their existence. orz
However I still got my hands on a number of acquisitions, all but one of them freebies from the event halls…
It’s finally the time for what you’ve been waiting for: piccies of lovely and sexy cosplays I acquired from during my roaming hours in Comic Fiesta.
Have a relaxing Rilakkuma relaxing at the side of the hall and the lovely kitsunemimi Coffy, the mascot of Comic Fiesta, as an entrée for the post. XDc
Many comrades have referred to CF as Cosplay Fiesta nowadays due to it being more cosplayers than comics at all.
I must say I do agree with the sentiment: most doujin stuff I saw are of merchandise and artwork variety instead of manga/booklet. That and the halls are practically fully packed with cosplayers. =w=
Continuing from earlier post on my experience in Comic Fiesta 2013, this time let’s have a brief view on the wonderful girls and boys of the doll variety.
There are a number of them turning up during the event, many tagged along with their visiting parents.
Of course Tama-chan paid a visit to the halls too, although only for Day 01.
She stayed back to guard our hotel room for the next day due to severe fatigue.
