Various Booths at AFA16, Part 1
Many exhibitors participated in this year’s Anime Festival Asia, showcasing and promoting their own products and services during the 3-day event.
Here are the booths as categorised alphabetically:
3DSense Media School
AFA Shop is the official sales counter for all merchandise featured in the event, including anime and guest cosplayers stuff.
The stage where most of the special appearances and performances not related to anime industry big names occur.
Most of the time the schedule here clashes with the one at the main stage so you have to choose one over the other as you can’t possibly attend both ends at the same time, not unless you have the power/ability to clone yourself. w
As for me, I prioritise the main stage so I can meet the seiyuu in the flesh. w Regret nothing as I can meet the small and petite Kurosawa Tomoyo and the ever lovely Itou Kanae… <3
Oo-kun’s natural habitat.
Aso College Group x Parenthexis
Bandai x Banpresto
Pretty much the primary exhibitor of AFA for many years, Bandai showcased their usual selections of Gunpla and other figures.
On the spot light this year is the P-Bandai limited Gunpla, the shiny golden coating bling-bling-ness of PG 1/60 RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 06 Phenex.
Banpresto on the other hand have a lot of kuji stuff going around. All those lovely Pikachus in costumes as well as the many variations of Kizunamonogatari!Shinobu figures!
Bi Bi sama
Candy Cotton Cosplay
Candy Toyo / Animate Corner
Canon is too another main sponsor of AFA for many years. A total of 5 photo booths with various themes were setup to allow visitors to take photos of.
An acquaintance of mine also displays his itasha in Evangelion Asuka’s motif.
Tama-chan had a short photo session at one of the photo booths as well… XDc
Cheerz booth is actively promoting their idol group Ikiteru Hearts, asking visitors to have a photo / selfie with the members of their idol group…
Force of Will
Good Smile Company
One of the biggest contributor to the event, GSC’s booth is filled with many, many displays of Figma, Nendo and scaled figures.
Sadly no samples of Nendo Tamamo no Mae or Figma Mumei in sight, even though they were displayed in another event in at the very same time frame in Japan…
There are more booths to cover, stay tuned for part 2 of the post…
