Day Zero of AFA14
AFA14 may have ended last weekend, but my Post-AFA Syndrome
(PAFAS) had just begun…
Been neglecting the blog for the past week in favour of processing all my captured moments during my pilgrimage to the South, I’ve finally slowly queuing up my photos for upload to my Flickr account.
Time to make a thorough report on my journey!
Here I am with several like-minded comrades at the boarding area waiting for our ride to our pilgrimage destination, Singapore!
All grand trip must begin with a small step, mine’s no exception.
Once again I’m riding a crimson steel bird to the City of the Fishy Lion!
Soaring through the skies!
It’s a rare chance for me to ever ride the clouds (Probably only once per annual due to the yearly trip w), so I’m set to capture these lovely sights unto my lens.
Magnificent views, aren’t they? All them cotton candies… (^q^)
It’s only an hour and a half (More or less) of distance between my island and the Lion City, soon I’ve reached the airstrip and heading into the city itself!
I am always impressed by the nation’s ease of transportations, taking me directly from the airport into the city without me ever leaving the interconnected malls and tunnels at all!
The grand entrance at Suntec City Convention Centre, with huge arrays of LED screens displaying adverts of them events of late happening in the building itself. Of course AFA14 was the highlight of that week.
The ticketing booth wasn’t as crowded as I expected when I got my tix, but according to the comrades I met later the day, it was fully packed with queues just a couple of hours before my arrival. 0w0
This was the set-up day, or Day Zero to many. Even the arch at the main entrance not fully erected as of yet…
Well let’s head inside and see some pre-event stuffs going on within! w
As soon as I entered the main entrance, I was captivated by the sight of The Idolm@ster booth.
So many standees of them original 13 idols!
Bandai, as always, have several large booths full with displays of their much celebrated Gunpla and Tamashii Nation figures…
Bushiroad getting stronger this year with their Vanguard TCG and Love Live! stuff.
Exit Tunes caught my attention with its own custom Vocaloid doll.
It’s Volks virgin voyage to an event in AFA! Many parents were delighted by this news!
As expected, several past limited Dollfie Dreams made their appearance at the booth, both display and sale.
And many, many more!
The abundance of the participating anime industry giants were a sight to behold.
A huge part of the connecting halls were dedicated to Niconico Kunikaigi, a sort of oversea festival with various activities to try, all live on Niconico as the event progressed.
AFA has their own booth this time around, not just some simple sales counter like past years. w
They have a new mascot along AFA-kun this year too: Seika-chan!
Lastly, some shots of the doujinshi area.
More shots to be followed soon!
They will be divided between several different posts the following week due to the amount of photos. So please stay tuned!
