Them Booty of AFAMY12
A couple of weeks have passed since AFAMY12, I have yet to categorise my acquisitions from then due to so many happening in the period: Post AFA Syndrome aka minor fever x failure to readjust, slight depression, end of vacation leaves, social problems at work, laziness, etc. just to name a few…
Finally put aside all those 3rd world problems and gathered enough strength to properly unveil my loots (Still prefer the term acquisitions but otaku comrades have exclusively “trademarked” the term all around the globe referring to their purchases… ^^;)…
Now would you look at them booty, yohoho arrrrr matey! XDc
Off topic: These past few weeks I’ve been involved in many online gaming – including Phantasy Star Online 2, MechWarrior Online and Diablo III – eventho I’m not really a true online gamer in the first place!
Must have been the result of the always online need of that 3rd coming of the Lord of Terror that propelled me thru this route…
One of my most anticipated MMORPG is PSO2, a sequel to the magnificent Phantasy Star Online from years ago by Sega. It’s currently in Closed Beta phase, but Sega opens its registration (Need extensive skill on Japanese language…) to the public until mid July. Be sure to hop in before the time runs out! You can get access to the site via the Ouen Banner I placed at the side column of me buroggu… ——>>>
Made a chara to closely resemble my beloved Tama-chan… XDc My Player ID and Chara Name is “ユナモン”, and I’ll always be in Ship 2 on Block 36. Do find me and add me to your friendlist! ^~^
Back to them booty…
My first buy during Day 01 is a couple of To Aru Kagaku no Railgun Nenpuchi boxes. ^_^
At only RM 15 per box from KKnM x Little Akiba’s booth, they are quite a bargain considering those lottery-styled Puella Magi Madoka Magica/Vocaloid Nenpuchi already priced at RM 25 each box… :3c
Furthermore, I can choose exactly which chara I want from a selection of only 4 choices: Last Order, Shirai Kuroko, Accelerator and Musujime Awaki… I got myself the former duo, too bad there’s no Misaka Mikoto… >,<
On another note, also acquired a Konata (Lucky Star) T-Shirt for only RM 17.50, from its original price of at least RM 110!
Up next is the Figma KOS-MOS ver. 4, also from the same booth… I have considered her purchase ever since release but was put off due to hefty price (RM 240 at a local hobby store on my island, RM 210 at least on eBay without shipping fees and so on…) and lack of stock then.
Seeing her at RM 190 that day broke my will and she had me succumbed to an impulsive buy… ^0^;;;
Moving on, I got a couple of
balls of plastic Gachapon (Gashapon) capsules from a comrade during my mingling at Culture:Japan booth, unwanted due to duplicates…
Them chibi I.S. (Infinite Stratos) Charles (Charlotte) Dunois and Cecilia Alcott gachapon keychains! Kawaii!!!
It seemed that comrade, along with several others, were trying to get a complete set that they’ve spent over RM 150 @ more than 30 turns just on them Gachapon machines! 0_0
Talk about dedication, determination and obsession… orz
Since its release a few Moons back, I’ve meant to get a pack of these Moekana decks introduced by Danny-san to teach Katakana with visually kawaii illustration cards, which seemed to have caught the attention of the people around the world, prompting many to even use it for school education!
Finally got a deck and its Booster Pack during Day 01 for RM 79 in total at AFA Shop, but my usual Otaku Jinx inert skill activated itself yet again… >,<
At Culture:Japan booth after I came back from AFA Shop, I was sorting out some cards from the deck to form the words “Tama-chan” and placed them on the display base of, well, Tama-chan.
While I turned my back for a minute to keep the rest of the deck into my backpack, in just a blink of an eye the “Ta” card and “N” card disappeared! Some booth visitor(s) might have taken them thinking they’re freebies! 0_0
Tried to enlist comrades’ assistance on Twitter to help me find the missing cards but in the end I had to give up. Luckily, Danny-san gave me a second deck after the finale of Culture:Japan Night, in token for helping him and WiseFreeman’s crew out during the event… ^_~
So now I have TWO basic decks and the booster cards minus the “Ta” and”N” cards… ^^;;;;
Elsewhere, Tama-chan’s teaching Kanji using Moekana! Repeat after her:
狐耳 – きつねみみ (Kitsune Mimi)
尻尾 – しっぽ (Shi-ppo)
Also part of my booty, the much desired item at Culture:Japan booth with many comrades and non-comrades alike asking and trying to get us crew members to unload the samples inside the display case to them (Which obviously, forbidden!): Suenaga Mirai’s Touch ‘n Go prepaid card!
Got one from Danny-san as being part of the booth crew during AFAMY12… ^_^ The card is usable only after I put some credits in it, but I probably won’t… XDc
The actual release date of the prepaid card is set in December just as Danny-san announced but he DID mentioned that they might consider an early release if you can pester this phone number daily… XDc
Last but not least, some meishi (Just some… ^^;) I’ve collected from other comrades during the course of AFAMY12 and CJN… :3c
Even my Otaku Meishi saw emptiness in a flash during the event… 0_0 I need to prepare more for the upcoming AFA12 in Singapore!
