Standing by the hill-side gazing over the Cool Culture of Otakuism!

Culture Japan Noon

When Danny-san announced the news some weeks earlier, it was an incredible surprise to all of us Islanders that he’s going to hold a CJN on our island!

To be held in the St. Joseph’s Novitiate at the Gurney Paragon, Penang, the gathering will begin at a rather odd hour: 1300 – 1800 on a Saturday (Thus Culture Japan Noon instead of Culture Japan Night… XDc)… 0_0

For the uninitiated, St. Jo’s is a heritage building made anew via reconstruction, and is now a hub for community events with rotsa restaurants surrounding it…

Anyways, I was a little late to the venue due to RL job which ends on 1300 that day… ^_~

Upon reaching the designated site, I was greeted by a Mirai Mobile first hand… XDc It’s basically the same one featured in CF2012 just a few weeks ago!

As expected, rotsa comrades already swarmed the place… ^_~

I took my time to settle in and set up Tama-chan and Kotama-chan for display before I go around shooting random citizens with my lens… XDc

Oh they have an itachari too… :3c

Elsewhere, actually just outside the main hall, the promised TnG cards are selling like hot cakes. Just look at them long lines!

Of course there are many merchandise, doujin and figure display booths around the main hall!

Speaking of displays, here be them figures individually… ^_~

And of course the attending musume-tachi, courtesy of many members of Dollfie Dream Malaysia: Penang Division…. XDc

Compared to CJNs (CF2012 CJN, AFA12 CJN, etc…) from other regions, this one is attended by large numbers of cosplayers!

Oh DP-san is here too, fighting a local Assassin!!

This DP-san is a comrade from Australia, a certain Stormie I knew from years before… XDc

Seems like he’s a huge fan of Danny-san!

And finally a group picchu of us Penang Division of Dollfie Dream Malaysia!

Thanks to DP-san for knighting me as Sir Kitsunemimi on behalf of Her Gao-ness!!

What a fine addition to my humble Fate shrine!
